This three year span was both blessed and sorrowful. During this time I experienced much good fortune having been selected for two artist's residencies, in addition to an exhilarating month of printmaking study in Italy. Also during these years came the end of my intense day-to-day mothering, as all three of my children went off to college. Other personal tragedies lent heartbreak to an already bittersweet time period. I believe the uncertain and scattered nature of these three years, as well as the eagerness to assimilate my newly learned technical skills, is reflected in these prints.
